Thought I'd start this thread off with some scripts I would recommend for SU users... in case you don't follow new tool releases much...

First contribution ! I don't write English very well so it will be short !


(Creates faces along selected lines at a given height selected with 2 points clicks. Surfaces from curves are soften, option to create a group with resulting objects. VCB supported.)

(Mirrors geometry at plane, line or point.)

(Welds edges into a curve, option to close the curve.)

(Joint Push Pull: transformation that tries to offset faces by a distance along their normal while generating a contiguous shape, so a kind of hybrid transformation between classic Sketchup push-pull and Vector-oriented push-pull. The script also contains a Normal and a Vector Push Pull in multi-face mode. Textures are transferred. This version allows to enter graphically the distance and orientation. and get a visual feedback of the transformation. Full Documentation included (in English). )

And one more not free but very usefull for any organic shape :
(22$ for one of the greatest Su plugin is cheap !)

whoa Dan! it's like turning SU into Revit... freaky... yet cool, maybe... will check it out... thanks! (don't know how I missed that one... I recall reading about it a while back, but let it slip by...)

The poly reducer scrip is a new one to me. Awesome. I can easily build organic physical models now.


Here are two great plug-ins:

Zorro2 (beta) was released just in time for me. I needed to render a section for the final review of my second project this semester, and about 4 days before it was due, Zorro2 (beta) was released. AWESOME.

I attached the sections I needed to render.

zorro2 would have saved me many hours a few years ago that i spent cutting through on of my school projects.

Here's a really nice list, with pictures and videos of what the plugins do.
