Silo file format is as easy as it can be.. but I just wrote to Nevercenter to request a sia file format documentation..
here is the content of a simple scene with a box, and omnilight

Indeed. I must honestly admit i never heard of Silo, but it seems pretty powerfull to me. It's a bit of a combination of SU(perspective modeling) and other modeling programs like MAX, Maya etc(subdivision).
The big difference with the other commercial packages is that it's very very affordable(only 109 bucks, that's like nothing).
BUT, first it must undergo my stresstesting :P :P

I found this little spec on the SILO forum.. the more torough info was deleted from the forum.. Hope they will send me something better

But... Here are the specs...
I don't know any real way to lay them out, but this is how it works!!

All numbers are sparated by a space... So 21 is twenty one, 2 1 is two and one.

Starts with...
-Version1.0
-Mat // start describing material
-Dif 0 0 1 1 // describe the diffuse of teh material... I'm not sure what colour format it uses.
-amb 1 1 1 0 // describe the ambient
-spec 0 1 1 0 // describe the speclar
-emins 0 0 0 1 // describe the emissive
-shin 20 // describe the shininess
-name "Material0" // Describe the material name
-end Mat // end describing material

Repeat from "Mat" to make a second material
Order of materials defines its number in the rest of the file. SO, if setmat is 1, it will be the second material, set 8 will be the ninth to be described.

The bit below describes a cube...
-Shape // Start describing the first shape
-shad 0 //Sorry, not sure
-shadw 1 // Again, not sure
-vert -1.524 0 -1.524 // Vert 0's co-ordinate, x, y, z I'm pretty sure.

Thanks for your comments. I hope we will hear for Nevercenter. It Version 2.0 also implement scripting then it might be posible to write the exporter or else use the SDK.
