This is related to geometry. Every triangle is counted as a light source, more complex the mesh is more time it do take to calculate. Please, take a look on . Also note that with mesh emitters use of MLT or MLT/BiPT pre-set will give best results, but those methods are slow comparing to PM-FG.

Indeed, please post !
But don't tell me you're using a quad-core processor and found out that by setting "threads" to 4 it increases speed...
