Alright lets get down to business then shall we
Now i might be going bit overboard here since this is basicly what i do for living, sorry about that, but here is something i suggest we make happen:
1) error report template:
this is something we should have, it should have atleast the following. off the top of my head:
free-text explanation on the error
operating system used
version tested on
reproducible: yes/no /happens sometimes
bug category: ui, render engine, .. (you guys define these) / unknown
step-by-step procedure to reproduce
included scene or link to a zipped scene
Logs if available
2) this actually links to the first one, in practice it is good to have a system where to collect this error data. bugzilla or a simple self-coded sql page.
3) lightweight release test error process description:
-find an error
-see if it is reproducible
-see if the error already has been reported
--if it has, see if you have new info to add and add it
-report error, use the template
-re-test errors you reported with a newer version when one comes available
