guys i have small question:

how much would you charge of making a 3d model out of some 2d specs of an normal household item? Like a coffee maker for example.

I might have chance of doing few models for a local company but i haven't the clue on what to charge them for it. They are looking for 3d models, not renders.

How accurate and detailed do they want/need..??
If it's a really detailed and technical 3D model they expect, where all parts are 3D then it will take time...

Also... Have they requested any specification on the 3D format..??
(This will also depend on the application you use for making the 3D model...)
What are they going to use the 3D models for??

all of these are very good questions by Frederik.
I would, if you want a simple answer, figure out what you think you are worth per hour, figure out how long you think it will take you to model it, and charge them that much.

Or, figure out what you think it will be worth to them, and charge them that. If you charge too much, they may scrap the project. If you undercharge, you have a happy client, and you learn to charge more next time.
