I think that the bug is not produced by a specific method (MLT)
but rather for something else - being some material instruction
or the intersection engine.
It is weird, but I have the feeling that the scene sent by Tomasz
shows exactly this bug!! (the church with black stripes). I believe
now that some code writes to undefined memory. The good thing
is that the scene by Tomasz although big, shows the bug immediately
so, now I am trying to exchange some code to isolate it.

I have finally found out that the problem is actually memory leak
which happens during image refresh.
Many thanks to Fletch, Pentti & Lekonna for their efforts,

ps. as a workaround, until RC4 comes out, before leaving an
overnight render running, hide both the quick-preview and rendered
image windows.
