Xfrog tree model to test instancing...

Hi all!

Here is the Xfrog free Interior Plants models KT library.
All made in KT RC3. That's why I adjusted the provided masks for clipping (not longer necessary in RC4 - thanks Giannis!).
All plants are without pots, so everyone can chose the right one for his needs.
Not too sure about plants overall dimensions, though...

hi guys...
i was wondering if there was a way to instance objects along a straight line at regular intervals from within KT? the instancing brush is super cool.... but can i get something like what is posted below?

instancing has so many possibilities

I was modeling a ski-slope based on a topographic map and went and happily brushed away the forests with the instance tool.

It works out quite nicely, except you get a crash when trying to render something with a lot of instanced models of trees with anything else than mlt.
(i'll zip and mail the scene to giannis today if you wan't it)

One thing that would be nice to control is the axis of the instanced models, now they vary depending on the normal of the surface they're planted on. This of course in this situation on quite a steel slope looked rather funny. Trees tend to grow upward even in those spots irl
