I don't know if this is a bug, but it looks very odd to me.
I took a sphere from the basic pack, applied shiny plastic, and added a single omni light. Using the scale gizmo, I scaled the sphere in one dimension. As you can see.... a small area is correct based on the view, but the rest... I don't know, weird.
BTW, why can't we attach xml files?

From time to time RC4 crashes when trying to attach a bitmap to a material (mainly in the clipmap slot)...

More clip map problems
Big clip mapping problem:
Create a cube then create an infinite plane.
Apply a procedural texture to the clip channel of the plane. (Though from Dan's post above, an image may work too).
Render in photon map or path trace.
There is a chance it will freeze up. If not, try moving the plane above the viewpoint, like a cloud layer and make sure the horizon is in view.
With those conditions, KT froze up basically 100% of the time. AND, when I try to save, even before I render, KT crashes about 50% of the time.
Edit: forgot to mention, I always used physical sky or hdri sky.

Is someone looking over this thread?
because I'm not seeing any answer...
I was trying to (finally, shame on me
) experiment with parallel views, using a house model I'm working on (using SU2KT, of course
) and, despite all my efforts, I can't obtain a satisfying result: the respective exported scene is still a perspective view and only switching to parallel view I end up with the right camera.
Trouble is that rendering this view, the camera is far more close to the object, clipping it from the image.
I can manually dolly the camera in order to, after some attempts, obtain an image close to the SU and main KT window look, but never exactly the same.
What I am trying to say is that, speaking about parallel views, WYSIS NOTWYG
Is this (still) a bug or I didn't what was supposed do do?
