Still i got to return to this one being the pedantic arsehole,

To me it seems somehow that the material thickness formula-magic-simulation-thingy of dielectric / glass seems to be almost double to the one in real world.

the tall glass in question (after un-messing the model) seems to result in correct looking renders when the thickness of the wall is set to 1mm instead of the 2mm irl.

For this particular use it is quite indifferent to me but the thing is there might be cases that absolutely need the correct thickness on glass in the model..

There was one other post in wip section also which seemed to suffer from the same effect the glass table in this particular case.
