Re: Random Stuff-_-P_o_s_T
It seems i was so long away from this forum and anything related to stuff you do around here
Anyway , i kinda want to get back to modelling and so on.
But at this moment i need some informations , cause i am re-learning most of the stuff .
As stuff like , how wings exports to KerkyThea and how is the best way to export [model your model and what i should keep in mind]
Damn i was so long away

in April i wanted to do what i am about to do , but i really had no time

Re: Random Stuff-_-P_o_s_T
it seems no one like to reply to my threads
i have some trouble .
unsolved :
How am i suppose to UV , i mean is there anything i should know how is the converted Wing3d to KT doing , what should i keep my eye on.
I tried doing simple faces ,by removing all other faces [hole] but it failed , the concrete was all stretched .
i don't get what means vertex welding , loop ... i get it flip normal [ no idea]
solved:
i experimented some with bevel'ing
Still learning a lot , but i am stuck with things like texturing , should UV and than texture it , diffuse and than take the diffuse for the hole object and make bump maps and so on?
it seems you still can only upload 3 images

Re: Random Stuff-_-P_o_s_T
Got a feeling that this is more wings related than KT. All texture mapping should happen in the modeling app. Also sub division/vertex weld/edge split/smoothing is best to happen in the modeling app. KT features are more a last emergency... after all KT is for rendering not modeling. So maybe wings forum is best place to start

Hi all.
I don't know is this right place for this question but I ask anyway:)
I exported model from wings 3d with kerkythea plugin.
When I open it in Kerkythea and trying to render it with textures I got weird results.
And this is how it must looks like cube is added from kerkythea insert menu

Re: Random Stuff-_-P_o_s_T
If it's a simple cube you can do it , in different ways
You can simply export a cube , remember to do Hardness on 89° and above
then simply use a seamless texture and use the cubic as the projection instead of UV .
if you have a special use like the cube is not looking the same from every side then you need to
UV the cube in Wings3D and then you need to create a texture after doing the UV.

when you have it UV and done texture , just use export
then you need to use UV projection and you should be fine.

Thanks.
This rendering thing is all new for me:)
UV mapping did the magic:)
I think I finaly got it right below is preview image from what I rendering currently.

Did you did a skeleton of a house and then you extracted the walls and did them ? cause i still don't know how to do a house , cause my caffe i am making and a lot more will be a pain in the ass to UV and texture as in one model , lol
