Plugins in C#?

First off, thanks for creating this great renderer - I heard about it from the Wings 3D forum! :)

I was just curious, has anyone tried wrapping the C++ plugin API with a .NET wrapper? Would it even make sense to do so, or would Kerkythea not be able to access the plugin code? I'm not all that familiar with C++, but I have done quite a bit of C#, so I thought this would be something interesting! :)
