I like the second render as well !!!
Specially the texture of sofa looks really nice. The concrete wall has imho a bit to much bump.

Definitely the second image.
But the light direction made the concrete wall to appear floating somehow over the floor, letting the light to go in under it.
Regards!

if you want to reproduce the image :
-Model the concrete part (each seperate square)
-Turn the window's color to greenish ( a very very very little bit ) ( the greenish color on the photograph is probably due to a glass coloration)
-Set a bigger focal lenght (something like 35 may be good)
-the furniture is a little bit yellow
-set the sun radius to a lower value
-re-render ;)

Anyway, these are very nice images 8)
Waiting to see more !! :D

Awesome job so far! :D

My suggestions:
- give the couch a higher specularity. It'll make the scene more dramatic and the couch will look more life-like.
- More ambient occlusion between the floor and the wall
- A darker floor texture
- personally, I don't particularly like the fact that the close end of the couch is being lit up by the outside light.

But I digress, it's a very nice render :)
