Light projection travel within glass/plexiglass

Hello

This is my first 3D rendering project and I got help from a SU sage called Jim
The SU was my original then Jim created this beautiful glass that looks stunning (me thinks)
Now I'd like to ask here:
How to make light glow up vertically from the bottom towards each glass/plexglass banister
(not all the way up, just a +-similar distance that the extruding plexiglass under each banister

And is there a way to to make the edged glow from bottom hidden light source
and if not
maybe put a very thin LED lit strip/rod simulation between each banister that would go up till the 1/2 sphere in between each banister.
Should I design the LED rod/line in SU up before or can just make a line in KT and add a glow ?
Jim added a volume to the horziontal light strip to make it glow from within
I made a similar plexiglass test with the letters MADONNA
trying to get the light to flair at the edges of the letters
Any specific URL location that addresses this subject
I also want to change the blue to a blue marble picture that I found
and not to have the blue glow on the wall
Do I put into the SU materials or can I add it to the KT material
another question where to go and add custom backgrounds and what is the best format and size?
Thank you

Re: Light projection travel within glass/plexiglass

Hello Thank you very much for replying to my question. You sure are far away there in one of the most amazing cities with beautiful architecture.
I don`t have an exact photo or picture or rendering here on hand
This is what is looks like now http://guideimg.alibaba.com/images/shop ... 749330.jpg
It`s very blue much to blue
I would like more of a look of clear crystal that does NOT reflect any blue
as I want to make each step of blue marble not plane blue high gloss
I just have not managed to apply the marble in an irregular way
I would prefer a more modern looking rendering
http://littlehomedesign.com/glass-stair ... e-gallery/
with glass that just reflect a bit of light from white/yellow warm LED light source that is coming from within the step.
If you'd like more info let me know
I am a KT beginner..
Thank you

Yeah mate , I am living in the 1001 nights city of Isfahan... it is so beautiful... everything is beautiful ... + crazy drivers :)
I am not sure still what I have prepared, fits your demand , but here it is:
The posts are clear glass with colored lights.
The treads are pure glass+ a bit of green absorbtion.
