Material scene ready for download

I have uploaded the Material scene and it is ready for download :wink:
please not that there are two version , one optimised scene for fast PM & FG rendering which should not be used for MLT or BiPT and another scene which can be used for all render methods and should be used for final presentation ( slower for PM & FG )

i have also uploaded two scenes for the Material editor . this folders have to be unzipped in the "scene " folder located in your Kerkythea install folder in Material Editor folder ( once you have unzip them in the right folder , you can change your Material Editor preview scene in the Settings tap located in the Material Editor)

What's about this scene optimised for quick PM & FG? Special modelling or what? I'm asking, cause trying to render my old WIP, I can't get as nice light and color leaking as with previous KT's... New renders are somehow artificial...
Maybe have to chnge sth...?

KT 1.3.05:


KT 2007 (nothing changed, but lamp translucent shader, after gamma correction it gets more artificial...)

Hi jendrzych,

I don't recall what modeller program you're using, but if it's SU, and you're using the su2kt - then this might cause your lightning problem...?!?

Giannis have made some changes to the codes related to lightning, but if you have exported the model using su2kt, all materials are automatically set to diffuse color = 0.85.
Try change all to 1.00

NB! The following is only applicable if you've been using su2kt ver. 2.11 or versions prior to that!!
su2kt also divided the sun-light by 3...
With KT2007 - you need to change the Multiplier value by multiplying the value by 3... If it's i.e. 2.500 you multiply by 3 and enter the value 7.500

Go to Click Settings > Scene and check the multiplier values...

We're currently beta testing the new su2kt, where this - of course - will be fixed...

thx for trying to help... I'm using Blender :) and just imported obj meshes to KT, recreate illumination from scratch.. nothing helped.

After recreating scene from scratch (exporting from blender via obj and setting illumination) it looks better. Thx.

open KT>open material test scene>apply your material to the ball>hit render using the custom settings already set into the file.

Hi Patrick
1.
In the material scene for all render methods the lights "Lamp1,Lamp2" are disabled.
Is that correct?
The image gets very dark without exposure or gamma correction.
The quick PM... scene have the lights enabled and renders nicely.
Explain please.
2.
How do I know what render method the "Custom settings" are using?
