These mat will be very useful.

Nice textures.
A easy way to improve these materials; use of layered materials. Take for example one material from "Basic Plastic vol. II for KT2007" and replace diffuse color with your wood texture and apply bump mapping.

edit. I wonder why to use similar bump map and normal map at same time in some of these materials. I understand if one wants to combine a procedural bump with a bump (or normal) map or two different bump maps.

The assortment of planks is nice. Thanks for that.
For each plank, there are 3 bitmaps of which *seamless.jpg is the main one (Diffuse) and the *bump.jpg is the bumpmaker (Modifiers>Bump Mapping).
But where do I put the (pale blue) *normal.jpg ? And with what effect?
I tried to plough through the Material Editor Manual but I need practical exercise now.

Sorry Jon, should have found that myself.
But... 'par hasard' I used the *normal.jpg as SPECULAR bitmap. It gives a nice reflection.
As wish list, not for the program but for the use of it, I need kind of small tutorials - excercices in fact- to find out more.
