program crash - 64bit version mac?

Hello,

Lateley I got myself a new mac, i7 16gb. I can choose to run on 8 threats.
When I use kerkythea, all goes fine, untill I press the 'Start Render' button, then the program closes/crashes.
Only when I use only 1 threat, the program works all fine.
I have this with all render options. (I mostly use metropolis light transport)

I've been browsing these forums, and I found out this problem could be solved by installing the 64bit versions.
Is there any news regarding this version? Are there any other fixes so I can use 8 threats?
Or am I doomed to render only with 1 threat? :-k :P

we are looking for scenes that render on one thread, but crash when multiple threads are used on Mac.
please make as small of a scene as possible that will still crash KT on Mac in multithread mode, but renders fine in single thread mode.
Then save as .kzx+textures, zip together and post here, or host on box.net or something.

Thank you for the quick answer!

I tried to render scene nr 5, but it all has the same problem.
When I use photon mapping high qual + cautions(was trying something else), it goes until 100% shooting photons, but then it crashes.(i think it then starts the ray tracing?)

When I try to render any of the scenes, in the file I provided, and I choose to render with more than 1 thread (Start render -> 2,4 or 8 threads); the program crashes/closes..

I don't have this problem when I select 1 thread only, then it renders fine but slow.

When the program crashes, it gives 'Segmentation fault 11'

Hi!
I spent my hole day today rendering with Kerkythea on my Mac and it worked really fine, but one of the archives I exported from sketch up causes Kerkythea to crash.
It doesn't matter how I configure my scene, when I hit the render button (wih 1, 2 or 4 threads) the render pretends to start but doesn't last even 20sec., the program just crashes.
Then, I receive the same message svenvdh did: "Segmentation fault 11"

I have the same issue :( its so horrible. It only works with 1 threat instead of 8! Any news on this?
