Thanks.. |
Portable means you can use the program in everywhere, without install it.
In other words, run it in your pendrive
With KT I think would be good, and easyer, for network rendering.
Try "portable" at google, and you will see a lot of this programs
very useful

Well, KT works portable to me. I copied the installation directory at home to a pen and it works on computers at work in which I have limited access. This is one of the reason I donīt use for example Yafaray. It needs to write in the registry of windows to work.
Kt is wonderful, because I use everywhere and on any operating system!

vista and XP, no problems? Because in Vista materials are in who-knows-where! I'll make a try later, because if it works it's wonderful!

Does this also mean that, u can use librarys from usb drive?
Or do I have to copy KT to pc and install library's, or make use of relative paths for library's in usb drive?

dont think thats possible cause you need to install them in K, it puts all materials in the library folder.

| Well... actualy it's not a complicated installation, it just unzips materials, models and globals to spicific folders. so copying those to your drive should't be a problem. But the the problem is with your usb stick having different drive names on different pc's. So relative paths would be an option.
